EACD/IAACD 2025

It is our pleasure and honour to announce that the 37th EACD Annual Meeting in 2025 will be a joint meeting with the International Alliance of Academies of Childhood Disability (IAACD) in the beautiful, picturesque city of Heidelberg, Germany! The IAACD was founded in 2014 by the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM); the Australian Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AusACPDM) and the European Academy of Childhood Disability (EACD), and since then IAACD has been welcoming new member academies from Asia, Africa and South-America to achieve member representation from all continents (except Antarctica). Following very successful joint IAACD meetings in Stockholm 2016, Anaheim 2019 and Melbourne 2022, EACD is very much looking forward to join forces with our international friends and colleagues to host the 4th IAACD Triennial Meeting!

The international community will be welcomed from 24-28 June 2025 in Heidelberg, home of Germany’s oldest university and many ground-breaking research. As of 2021, 57 Nobel Prize winners have been affiliated with the city of Heidelberg and 33 with the Heidelberg University itself. Also a very international university with more than one third of the doctoral students coming from abroad, and with International students from around 130 countries account for more than 20 percent of the entire student body.

The Planning Committee for the Heidelberg 2025 Meeting is already working hard to prepare for you an extraordinarily rich programme and to cover a wide range of topics from basic science to public health and long term quality of life issues. As your perspectives, research and ideas are essential to ensure a stimulating conference program, it is the ambition of the Heidelberg 2025 Planning Committee to create a truly “client-centred” congress meeting. Therefore, In order to involve supporting societies as well as their members and potential participants from the beginning, you are kindly invited to let us know your preferred subjects, themes and formats for EACD / IAACD Heidelberg 2025 until May 6th, 2022 via this survey:

EACD / IAACD Heidelberg 2025 Survey – Preferred Subjects, Themes and Formats

Thank you in advance, and we are looking forward to create with you an historical event with an active global interaction between colleagues for the benefit of people with childhood-onset disabilities!
